A literary magazine

Where Southeast Missouri high school students publish poetry, fiction, creative nonfiction, and artwork.

our belief

We believe each person has something unique to contribute to the world, experience and thoughts they were meant to give voice to.

We also believe that Midwestern voices are necessary in the literary and art world.

how it works

submissions

We accept previously unpublished poetry, fiction, creative nonfiction and artwork created by students in grades 9-12 who attend school in Southeast Missouri.

student-run board

Our student editorial board is for high school students in grades 9-12 who attend school in Southeast Missouri and are interested in growing as a writer or artist and delving deeper into what it means to edit a magazine.

professional guidance

Students are advised by a team of professional writers and artists who are committed to the creative development of each student. Professional writers, designers and artists conduct monthly workshops about their craft, leading to the publishing of a professional journal in print and online.
