What we accept

We accept simultaneous submissions, but please let us know that you are withdrawing it for consideration of publication in Here. as soon as it has been accepted elsewhere.

What we look for
We’re hoping to read and publish top-notch writing that surprises us and connects with us, writing that helps us view the world in a new way, causes us to catch our breath at the beauty of your words, and tells the truth about some aspect of the human experience. The best writing utilizes concrete images and your own voice to say something to the world that only you can say. We want to hear it.

We’re hoping to view and publish art that does those same things. Paintings, photography, digital work, collage, sculpture, drawing, or however else you want to express your ideas—send us your best work that tells us the truth about something, surprises us, shows us something beautiful, shines light on an issue you think people need to talk about, or connects with us in some way. Show us what you know about in the world and what you want to say through art. That’s what we want to publish.
