all, or none.

take me off your pedestal,

i don’t want the preordained perfection.

i want you to see me for who i am.

gently pick out every one of your favorite flaws.

a variety of them are laid in front of you,

so choose wisely.

take them and keep them in your hand.

then use them against me just as every other person did.

leave them lingering on my skin along with the sting of your hands.

let them take control of me,

let them show you who i am, deep inside.

let them be the reason you see i am nothing worthy of loving.

take me off your pedestal, cling to the bad parts of my soul,

and i will give you the rest of me.
